ihuazai asked:

due to the constant rolling of my office chair plastic spurs on my hard marble floor, black markings or spreading plastic is letting marble on the floor. How can I stop the problem, excluding the purchase of the chair mat?

Replacing the wheels with non-marring wheels or replace the chair with the same.

Change the wheels. There are white nylon ones available.

Marble floor by it’s very nature is going to demand the chair mat. There is as yet nothing you can do to prevent these marks or damage to the floor (abrasions). If you find a rubber wheel of the same color of the floor, the marks will not show but will still be there. The thing is, you don’t really pay attention to the floor under a desk chair. Then one day the furniture is moved. That’s when you notice the damage (possibly irreparable) to the floor.
