I don’t think there are any laws regarding this, as long as you perform your work efficiently. But do you really need 5?

There’s not a limit to having too many coffee mugs on an office desk. Whoever is making a big deal about it is just trying to be a troublemaker, or even just plain jealous. I would say having at least 2 on your desk is best because it keeps away some of the clutter you may get from everyday stuff. Just ignore that. If it’s against the company policy then okay, if not ***** them or whoever it is that’s trying to make it a problem.

Are there enough mugs for everyone to have one if there are a bunch out of commission for what ever reason? Were there any that was ugly but had a wee hand print in smeared pink paint, that probably belonged to the squealer. oh well just act dumb, say I have no idea who partied in my office, must be cleaning crew or elves or something. Good luck
