I think that this part has come from an office of architects, it 'a tower of SA 10 drawers, made of oak, possibly from 1920 's - 30' s. He handles the cast-iron tray with handles for space in the paper tray satisfied.

One way to tell is to look for dove-tail joints in the outside corners of the drawers. This is a technique used in older carpentry to join two pieces of wood together, fitting them together sort of like a jigsaw puzzle, instead of how they tend to do it today with dowels and glue.

Looks to me as if it could be a storage cabinet for drawings. If so the inside width of the drawers would be likely at least 36″ or 48″.’
